"You may be dating someone or you are thinking about dating someone who has been going through a divorce and they're telling everyone it's final but for whatever reason you don't think it's final, but you don't know how to go about finding out if it really is final. Hello! I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question, how to find out if the divorce is final? Well, if you know the person's name and you know the county and state in which they have filed the divorce proceedings, you can go to that county courthouse and check out that divorce file for your review. You may not be able to remove it from the courthouse premises but you can look at it, and by looking at that file you can see if there is a final judgment of dissolution of marriage or a final judgment of divorce, whatever it's called in this particular state. And you could see for yourself whether it is final or it's still in process. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
