"Suddenly you find yourself having a need to know if the person has been married before. Perhaps it's a potential spouse, a person of interest and you want to know if they've been married before. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question, "How to find out if a person has been married?" Well the good news is, marriage records are public records and are generally available to the public. If you know where this person has lived and for the most part you can contact the county and state where they live and find out how to go about getting marriage records for individuals in that county. Generally it's as simple as ordering it by telephone or through mail or sometimes over the Internet. There maybe a small fee involve but it's that simple. But you're going to have to know their name and the county and the state in which you think they were married. Now sometimes states have vital statistics involving marriages that were have been conducted anywhere in that state. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
