"This is financial advisor Patrick Munro talking about how to make money from scrap metal. In the world of metals and commodities, basically you see a spike in prices. There are metals such as copper that are used in building and construction that during those boom times become very, very hard to come by so if you are able to find scrap that has contents such as that, you can absolutely take them to a scrap metal dealer and if they're properly segregated and organized you will get top dollar for your scrap metal. Therefore it's important for you to track the different commodities and prices of the metal that you intend to collect for repayment. It could be aluminum in which case you're collecting aluminum cans if your state does allow for that. Again back to copper, that's fine too. If it's iron and steel, although very heavy, you can receive dollars for it although it tends to be less than the rare metals. And then moving up the chain there is also other metals such as silver, molidium, platinum but those are not in wide circulation so if you have those, you'll have a much smaller package with a higher dollar amount. This is financial advisor Patrick Munro talking about how to make dollars from scrap metal."
