The price of gold in this economy is skyrocketing as inflation hits the economy. And therefore many people, specifically females, have a lot of costume jewelry with gold content, perhaps gold chains and things of that nature. What they're able to do is send that gold to a wholesale gold manufacturer and receive cash for that. There are also offers that appear on the Internet and on television, where individuals are requested to call for an envelope from a company to which they would place their gold, ship it to the company and then be paid for the gold. Be very cautious to make sure that you check out the Better Business Bureau for these particular vendors as, during a bad economy many scams tend to arise. This is Financial Advisor Patrick Munro talking about recovering gold from scrap."
