"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. So when you are adopting Golden Retriever puppies you know which is a highly sought after breed. A lot of families tend to like this breed because they are known for being a dog that loves to be around family and children. Not known for biting, not known for aggressiveness, just known as a good dog. And part of the, part of the dog's name, the breeds name tells you what that dog was designed for and that was to retrieve, to bring things back which does make them you know, tend to make them more of a playful fun breed you know as opposed to a dog that takes the ball and runs the other way with it. so Retrievers are initially good at that right off the bat which does make them you know fun and you know family oriented. And they are a very popular breed. You know and that sometimes can get people into problems thinking that every Golden Retriever is the same. Well they're not. There's different energy levels so it's good to try and match your family's energy level with the dog that you are considering adopting. Now where would you adopt a Golden Retriever, one the Humane Society or any local organization you know that specializes in adopting dogs. Often they do have requests for pure breed dogs and will sometimes hold the dog for you if you know or if they see a dog, take one in with you in mind. Some of the things to consider also is you know what your breed likes to do. So if you like to throw a ball and you like to play and you like to exercise these dogs are great athletes and love to be around the family. Adopting any puppy you are going to want to make sure that you check their stool and make sure that they are free of worms, if they have worms you want to treat them for worms. And you know with any puppy or with a Golden Retriever puppy keep in mind that they are rescue organizations for that breed also."
