"It is possible to make some money publishing poetry on-line. If you expect to make a great deal of money, well, you need to start taking your meds again. Because unfortunately, you're deluded. There just isn't much money in poetry, at all. With a good deal of work, you could probably make a thousand dollars a year, marketing your poetry on-line. It's, and a good deal of luck as well as work. You can put your work on-line on a Blog and sell advertising on a Blog. And you can do that through Google, Google AdSense, I think is the program. There are other places that are already set up and they will put the ads on. They will take a cut of the revenue, of course, in return. Triond, T, R, I, O, N, D, I think is one of them and there are some others. And again, they are doing some of the promotions for you. So you don't have to go out and then promote your, your site from a standing start, but they take a piece of it. And I don't really know how much they bring in, I don't think it's that much. There are also outfits that will take poems and design a page. And then they will sell it framed as a fancy thing for people to put on their walls. If you're writing a certain kind of short poetry, that might work for that, and that's mostly sold on-line. There's also an outfit called CafePress, which will set you up with a store. And you can put your poetry on mugs and on clocks and on tiles and on teddy bears, wherever it will fit. And then again, it is up to you to promote it. CafePress just provides the opportunity and then they print it up on demand, pretty much. But no one's going to know it's there, unless you tell them. So if you need to make money from your poetry or you want to make money from your poetry on-line, the main thing is promotion. You have to let people know it's out there, you have to reach the audience that might be interested in this. And you will probably have to devote a great deal of time to getting what little money you do, out of it."
