Hello, my name is Rocky Gillis. I'm with the Broward County Athletic Association and Offense-Defense Football Camps. In this clip, we're going to talk about workouts that we do to become a better football player. One of the first things we do, obviously is the warm up. And then we have what we call lunges, alright? We'll see them doing lunges here and then these lunges, it is all to build up the strengthen the leg, increase the power and develop the proper skill for running. Okay, turn around. One of the other drills that we do is we practice running starts and sprints. So if we get in a three-point stance, set, go! It's very important to develop speed in the, in the game of football. Speed is important for every position. So as we begin, continue to practice, if you're a linemen, if you a running back, you'd want to make sure that you're firin' off hard and low. One of the other things that we cav kids to do is to take laps. Endurance is what we want to build. Kind of jog. As they take laps, it's important. A game is a long game, they have the ability, have to have the ability and the stamina to stay in the game as we progress along. And one of the final things that we talk about and we like to do is strength training. So strength training as we develop, we'll do a number of things to develop our strength training. We do push-ups, sit-ups, notice their doing crunches. Crunches are very important to your speed and endurance and developing those skills. Again, thank you for watching. This has been Rocky Gillis.
