"Hi, I'm Charlie, your outdoor expert. And you want to know about desert bags or hydration bags. The one I prefer is like this one right here. This particular one is made by CamelBak. Now pretty much all water bags are pretty much the same. It got a hose; some of them have an on and off valve and then also on top of the nipple, all you do is bite and you just, you know, suck out the water. Oh, that's good! Ah, let me show you inside the bag. This particular bag has a nice size bladder; pretty much they're all the same. You open up the top; take whatever cool, refreshing water do you want; dump it inside; just close it back and it's kind of gravity fed in a way, but you're also you know, siphoning the water out too. It's connected to; also right here is a tube down at the bottom and also the tube; you just put it back in there and the tube extends out here. Now some of them depending on what you get, come with these straps you can hang things off of or actually storage compartments which is good, you know for say like, snacks or suntan lotion. Now once you've, you know, put things inside the bag; you got the bag full of water; they're pretty much, just make sure it's still working and functioning properly; you want to put it on. These are made to wear on your back. This is how you do, just sling it over. Now this particular one has a nice strap that goes across your chest that kind of help keep the bag on your shoulders. You can also adjust it, to kind of, you know, the way you want to wear it is more up on your shoulders; more with you know, that's a good bounce going to. This also has a nice waist strap too, but I usually don't wear the waist strap. It's all about your personal preference of where the tube is going to be most easiest access for you to drink of. Now this is a good way to keep hydrated because you don't really have to think about carrying bottles and your pockets or searching through; like a book bag or a day pack where if you're going to go on a nice hike for the day; it's already on you; you're ready to go. You just turn it on, sip, ahh and enjoy the cool, refreshing water. I'm Charlie and hopefully this is helpful."
