"So you're thinking about going camping and you want to know how to survive. The best thing to think about is the essentials. Make sure you have enough water and food and clothing. I'd recommend getting one of these water-backs that you could just hold a lot of water in. Wear it on your back, just sip on the water as you need throughout the day. Get yourself a cooler. If you need to, get more than one cooler. Maybe have one cooler for drinks, another cooler for meats, you know, and so forth. Also, you want to make sure you pre-plan what you're going to eat for the day. Know what you're going to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so that way you're not just going through and just eating whatever. So that way you make sure the food that you bring is going to last you for your entire trip. If you're going to take food, you're going to need to cook most of it. Make sure you've at least got yourself a nice grill. Also, something to consider with clothing is make sure you check ahead and see what the weather's like. Dress in layers because you're going to be coldest when you wake up in the morning. And as the day progresses, all you have to do is just take off layers and so forth. When it gets cold again at night, just put the layers back on. Even though you're going to be out in the wilderness, it's still important to keep up your hygiene. The best thing you're going to have for hygiene out in the wilderness is wipes. Make sure you wipe yourself down every morning when you get up. You'll feel a whole lot better. Take the essentials for hygiene -- at least, deodorant, shaving, and brush your teeth every day, too. You still don't want to get gingivitis out in the woods. You'll want to think about how you're going to sleep. I prefer a tent. You know, you don't have to have a tent, but you can sleep on the ground if you want, but make sure you have a nice sleeping bag. Just say, for instance, you find yourself separated from where you're supposed to be. The best thing to have is either a compass. Most people nowadays like to carry around a GPS. This way, you will know exactly where you're at and be able to get back to your campsite or a main road to find help. I'm Charlie, and hopefully those are some good tips to help you on your next camping adventure to survive."
