"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, life and relationship coach here in New York City, and the author of It's All About You. To create a romantic weekend getaway can really be a lot of fun, and most of it's in the preparation. No matter where you're going, whether you're just jumping in the car and driving somewhere or whether you're making an airline reservation and flying, I think the more thought you can put into it ahead of time, the more romantic it'll be. Pack your favorite, sexy, little outfits or...you know, or if you're the guy, you know, it's, like, the more details you can have planned ahead of time, then the more you can just relax and enjoy it when you get there. And I think, you know, think outside the box a little bit. You know, if you're the guy and you're planning a trip and you're going to some room, see if they can put a bottle of champagne and whatever when you get there or flowers or something that when you walk into the room, you're going to go, "Oh, wow! That's cool." Or, you know, plan a nice, little hike together. Take a picnic basket or a backpack so that you can go take a romantic hike together and bring a bottle of wine. And, you know, try to put thought into it before you get there, and I think, you know, vacations are always great. Try not to put too much stress on it that everything's got to go perfect and you can learn a lot about what...somebody when you travel with them, so plan ahead."
