"Hi I am Donna Barnes life and relationship coach here in New York City and the author of "It's All About You". To have a romantic dinner at home the first thing you really have to do is turn off everything that is everyday distraction. That means turn off the TV, turn off your cell phones like whatever you have that could possibly ruin your evening turn it off get rid of it, lets make this a really special night. So, music is the first thing, find a really ambient and most people have an iPod now put together a really great play list of all the best really romantic songs that will set you in the mood. Maybe if you have been together for a long time, if there were songs from when you first met that might be fun, put some thought into the play list songs that will trigger special memories that you have together have some really fun with that and then candles of course are very romantic. But maybe not just on the table, maybe you do not want to have any overhead lighting at all and just get lots of candles and put them all over the place that makes very sexy, atmosphere for your dinner. And use a table cloth and you know nice plates and things like that, maybe put some flowers on the table, really make it feel something different than the everyday that you have. To really say hey this is something special I put some time into this and, maybe you do not even want to cook maybe you want to order out and then someone else having the cooking and just have it be about enjoying it together. And try to do some finger foods some stuff that you can do together and do not forget dessert. Maybe some sort of dessert with a chocolate dipping sauce where you could feed each other after words and you could get creative with the chocolate if you know what I mean. So really use your imagination a little bit and most of all make sure that your attention is on each other and do not get so stressed out about, the planning and the you know execution of it all really just make sure that you are enjoying each other and and spending some really good quality time together and I think that it could be a really nice romantic evening."
