"The wedding renewals ceremony, it's similar to planning a wedding but definitely different, you're probably not going to get 12 months notice unless it is a destination location. And you can typically do a lot more in regards to OK we've got 3 months to do it, that's usually not a problem. You really want to make it personal. For a renewal ceremony you want to sit and talk to your couple together and you want to talk to them separately. What are their favorite moments? In talking to them as they're recalling a memory, what just lit up their eyes and their face? Write that down, remember it, do not forget it. What can you use from that to bring into this renewal ceremony. There will probably be a party afterwards, what can we do? Did they visit a favorite, a favorite vacation? Do they have a favorite restaurant? Can that restaurant be used for the reception? What was the first song they danced to at their wedding? Find out, use it again. The person who married them, is that minister available? Would they be willing to come and perform the renewal? It's very, very personal. Yes it can get extravagant with the flowers and have a photographer and things like that, but you really, a renewal to me is kind of like a retirement party. You want it to be as personal as it possibly can be to really just wrap those people and love on them and it's about their commitment and what they have done for the last 25 or 50 years. So personal is the only way to describe that."
