"First topic we are going to discuss is how to get the best mileage from your SUV. First of all, I want to say that you probably shouldn't expect to get good fuel economy in an SUV because you know the way the vehicle is constructed, the amount of weight in the vehicle and also the fact that it doesn't, the wind resistance is excessive but again some of the things that you want to do like you do on any other vehicle is to maintain proper tire pressure. Maintain proper wheel alignment, and one of the other things you might want to look into is the way the SUV is geared. If it has a trailer towing package you are probably not going to get the same type of mileage. So trying to expect good mileage is you know kind of out there. Also the type of tire that you put on your SUV is going to be important too. If you are going to go with a low profile wide tires that look really neat again you are putting more footprint on the ground. There's more resistance, rolling resistance there and the engine is going to have to work harder to push this vehicle down the roadways. So that means lower miles per gallon. So all these things come into play and something that you definitely want to consider when you are trying to find the best mileage that you can get."
