"Hi! This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. When we're talking about signs if the dog's pregnant, one of the first indications maybe a lack of appetite or increase of appetite. So, you know, if you do start seeing that, I mean clearly, what's the dog's, if the female dog hasn't gone into heat she can't be pregnant. So, if you heard, if there's lack of appetite or something or increase in appetite maybe something else. But if the dog is been in heat and is pregnant, you will start seeing signs of behavioral change, hormonal change, she may become a little more testy, she may become a little more sensitive to her environment, a little more protective and nurturing just as mothers typically do. And you know, and something to look out for is a, you know, size, you know eventually in the pregnancy process is about 62-64 days. So, if you start seeing her increasing size and weight, you know, if you start seeing discoloration or maybe the hair is getting dull, sometimes that can be an indication because the nutrition is going to the puppies that are being built inside. So, you know, as she gets, you know, gets a lot on further and further, you know, her nipples should change and start to drop down. And you know, those are all great signs that you're lookin' at a pregnant dog. Now, some dogs can also even exhibit signs of being pregnant when they're not, you know, false pregnancy signs. In which case they will have milk in their nipples and it's possible, you know, the body just gets tricked into starting to produce the needed things and then all of a sudden there is nothing happening. So, you know that's something to look out for to."
