"How to sell used cars. Selling used cars is all about being honest and up front. Once you lose the respect, once you lose the confidence of that person coming in to buy the used car, your dealership and yourself, are done. Selling a used car, it is really simple if you have what that customer wants, because it is the only one out there just like it. So if the vehicle is everything that you have represented, the car is in the shape that it needs to be in, and that doesn't mean the car looks nice, but. The car is ready to sell, and we're going to do this to it later once you buy it. The car needs to be clean, it needs to be ready to sell, and there needs to be no excuses to the customer up front. Because every time you make an excuse to the customer, not only does the price go down, but the confidence goes down with that potential buyer."
