"So how do we build a financial planning business. First thing you need to do when you are building a financial planning business when you are starting out is A. get experience. And a lot of times that means working for someone else understanding the business overall. Fine tuning your abilities your skills. Making sure that you've got the proper designations and licenses and so forth. And then when you build your own business what you are doing is working full time more then forty hours a week certainly. But what you are trying to do is develop new clients, and bring new people in the door. So when you are building your business you are talking about meeting new clients, meeting new people, networking, having special events, going to different organizations and groups and meeting people that can benefit from your particular services that you provide. So financial you know, building the business is going to depend on what type of planning you do. Some people will come from more of the insurance end, some people come from more of a stock investment end. Some people use a blend. Some people use prepackaged particular company products. Some people will go with individual stocks and bonds. So that will also define the type of client that you are going to attract. So again, building the business is going to be developing a larger book of clients, largest that you can. And that's really going to depend on the effort that you put out there and also the type of services that you are going to be able to provide to your clients."
