"I'm Dr. Donald Gossett. I'm an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I have training in dentistry and specialty training in maxillofacial surgery. Today we're going to speak about some fairly general aspects of general dentistry and possibly specialized dentistry and hopefully be able to educate you a little better on some of those topics. Today we're going to talk about being a cosmetic dentist. And at present there's really no specialty in dentistry of cosmetic dentistry. A lot of dentists like to somewhat funnel down or neck down in their practice where they don't do global dentistry or general dentistry. They want to try to stay in the cosmetic lines of dental treatment. Which may be crown a bridge, veneers, various and sundry other treatment alternatives. Mostly trying to give people the pretty smile they want or the front teeth type of smile where people's appearance is most affected. Thus being the cosmetic part of the process.
