"Hi today we are going to discuss installing a review mirror on the car. Inevitably at some point you are going to walk out to your car and the mirror will be laying either on the floorboard or on the dash. The glue will eventually let go. To reinstall it is not that big of a process. First of all you obviously have to have the mirror. Second thing is you have to have a kit. This is a rear view mirror adhesive kit. This is available at any local parts store. To install that is very simple. Follow along as I show you how. Ok the first step will be to find something to mark where you want to install the mirror at. In this case I am using simple white chalk for the tires. I am going to come to the windshield and I am going to mark it in the location I would like to put my retainer. From here we move inside the vehicle. Ok now this step of it is critical that everything stay clean. This right here is the retaining button that the mirror actually attaches to. This will be glued to the windshield. In order to do that we are going to scrape the old glue off the windshield and the retaining button. At that point we are going to wipe everything down clean. At which time I would turn the retainer over use this cleaning compound, crush it and then wipe it on the back of the retainer. This is a primer. Once that dries, usually three to five minutes, the manufacturer will tell you exactly how to do that on the back side of the package. Once the primer dries you use the glue you put just a couple of drops in the center of the retainer, at that point you are going to press it up on the windshield with your thumb and hold pressure against it. Once it tacks off to where you can release it, it will take at least fifteen minutes to a half hour of dry time before the mirror can be safely reinstalled. Once that is dry, you are going to take the mirror starting from the top side and simply slide it over the retainer until it clips into place and adjust the mirror. At that point you are done."
