What Is a Personal Stylist?

"Hello my name is Gabriela Garzon at G.G. Image and Etiquette Consulting in Miami, Florida. A personal stylist is a person who is prepared to actually help others, anybody, an actor, a corporate person anybody on how to organize their wardrobe for their daily lifestyle. What it means is that they will help you choose the right pieces of clothes, shoes, accessories, how to put on your makeup, how to wear your hair, all those little things in order to give the right impression to the right people that they are dealing with on a daily basis. Like I said a personal stylist should analyze the person's lifestyle in order to let them know what it is that they are supposed to get better or fix or work on but it is pretty much telling another person and helping them on how to make the right choices when they are either buying their clothes, picking their clothes or just putting a whole wardrobe together even if it is for a day job, for a night job for acting, whatever it is that they need to help with choosing the wardrobe. To become a personal stylist you first have to analyze yourself in order to know if you have what it takes to be a personal stylist before finding about the education that you need for it. I say this because a lot of people think it is just about going shopping or just watching TV or buying magazines but it takes a little more than that. You need to have a keen sense of fashion of colors, on how to put things together in a very fast pace so not everybody has that quality although they may be good with colors and choosing clothes but you need to do things on the go most of the time. So once you know you have what it takes to actually be a personal stylist then you need to find out about the education that you need, the schools, classes, programs, there is plenty out there nowadays it is a career that is getting its wings so it will be easier to just go ahead and find the right education to be a personal stylist."
