"Hi, I'm Steve Anthony. I'm a handyman here in New York City. How to find ideas for fences. Let's say you're a homeowner and you've decided you want to enclose your yard. You have a yard that is open on all sides and you want to sort of define your property perimeter. You can put up a fence. It's your right as an American as a property owner, by golly. So now you now you may say well what kind of fence do I want to use? This is where your creative juice comes from. Well what do I want to do? Be practical first and say well do I need a fence that is going to prevent my neighbors from seeing what I am doing or do I not want to look, maybe the neighbor's back yard is filled with clutter, it is unattractive, build a shadow box fence for example and that would build it tall enough, above eye level then you what's going on next door and they won't see what's happening in your back yard. Maybe you just, maybe you have gotten a dog and you need to keep him in the yard, well maybe a chain link fence is all you need. Just make sure it is high enough to prevent the dog from jumping over it and sometimes just a decorate fence a white picket fence you know maybe that's your homeowner's dream. You've seen that image in your head since you were a kid. There are a number of materials now that you can buy prefab white picket fences, sections, put them together in your front yard and create that little nest that you have always dreamed of. Your imagination is your only limit."
