"So how to become a commodities broker. Well if you're becoming a commodities broker, you're different from a stockbroker. You're working just with the commodities exchange and there's actually many fewer commodities licensed individuals out there then there are people in the stock markets. So it may be an opportunity that could be appealing. The commodities broker is ran by the National Futures Association and what you want to do is find a house, a commodities trading house that will want to hire someone new because you will need their sponsorship to take the series 3 examination. Now the series 3 license is something that you need to be able to trade commodities within a commodities broker. So once you get your series 3, then you'll undergo training, you'll have work within the brokerage house and they will, they basically get you used to what to expect on a daily basis is pretty fast trading, it's very active and it's all day job trading, you want to make sure that you know the business very well. So it's good to get with a good firm who can give you very good training, not just the book knowledge and anyone can get the licenses who's inspired to do so, but you need to be to get very good, very skilled training, the best place you can find. So if you want to become a commodities trader, really find a good brokerage house, get the licensing and then get the training and you'll be on your way."
