"Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to show you how to store an unused mattress. First thing you want to consider is, put it some where where it can lay completely flat, and I mean completely flat. If there is a book underneath it, or anything underneath it, once it sits there for a couple of hours, it's going to make your mattress lumpy. So, lay it completely flat. You want to cover it with a blanket or a piece of plastic, or something like that, just to keep the dust off of it. And if you're going to store something on top of it, which I don't recommend doing, make sure that you evenly distribute the weight. So if you're going to put something like this, which is not very heavy at all, on one side of it, put another one on the other side of it. I don't recommend doing this, but if you're going to, make sure the weight is distributed evenly. You just need to think about, you know, when something's sitting on your mattress for a couple of hours, it is going to take that shape, because the coils in the mattress are, you know, they're made of metal, and they can bend and be permanently, you know, they can be permanently bent. So, just make sure, keep it in a flat spot, cover it up, and distribute the weight evenly if you're going to put something on top of it. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you store an unused mattress."
