"So, what fruits are available in the month of April? Well, I guess that would depend on what part of the world that you live in. For those of you who really enjoy the taste of fresh produce in it's peak season, you may want to check with your local farmer's market. Those folks are really in the know about what's being harvested at that time, what you can get for the best price, and what has the best flavor. In parts of the North America, for instance, Florida and California, in April you'll find Valencia oranges and grapefruits, strawberries are another big one. I know that down in Florida in a little town called Plant City, Feb, during February through April, they have the strawberry festival. It's a fantastic festival where they have fresh strawberries in just about anything you want to think of, ice cream, and donuts, and cake. It's a great time for everybody. But other parts of the country like Phoenix, for instance, you might want to find nectarines, peaches, or apricots, which are some of my favorite fruits as well. So you need to be aware of what part of the country you live in for what might be growing in season. In other parts of North America, fruits that are in season in April are also bananas, avocados, grapefruits, which I've already mentioned, strawberries, and I'm thinking that's just about it. It's still a little early in the spring. So until you start getting into May and June, it may be a little bit limited. Now obviously you're going to find other kinds of fruits available at that time of the year too, but more likely they're going to be, have, they're going to have been imported so they'll be more costly and their flavor might not be as great. So check with your local farmer's markets and make sure that you know what's in season in your town."
