"Everything is going to start working better. Your heart rate is going to kind of slow down a little bit. Your resting heart rate is going to be lower which will be important for long term risk of heart disease. Your blood pressure is going to drop of course that is important for lowering your levels, lowering your risk of having a stroke. Your lung function is going to increase. You'll have deeper breaths, your breaths will be deeper and not as shallow. The lungs will actually be able to clean themselves better. The little cilia which are those kind of hair like things in the lungs will just be able to filter and clean out the lungs better and you will notice a marked improvement in even normal activities, walking up the stairs, cleaning the house, gardening. It is just going to be much easier than when you were smoking. I know it will, a lot of times you find out that maybe athletes smoke and you think how do they have that lung capacity to be able to long distance run but even those athletes that quit will see a marked improvement in their performance."
