Holistic dentistry is basically taking on a whole new realm and it basically involves trying to treat, not so much just a specific tooth, but the whole person in general. So you usually will find a lot of times with holistic dentistry the patient is more involved or more concerned about a a the general health of their body. For instance, a lot of times you'll hear people talk about "I don't want anymore silver fillings in my mouth, I don't like the mercury toxicity, I don't want to have a a procedures that are done that may cause general damage to my whole body." So a holistic dentist is going to be more concerned and more in tune with developing rapport with the patient that's going to involve basically, more conservative and more holistic type of a procedures. Another example would be sometimes you may not have a a certain medicines that may want to prescribe. A holistic dentist may be more into the herbal type of a a supplements.
