Hi, I'm Dr. Larry Klein, and I'm a dentist here in St. Petersburg, Florida, and a common question that I get is, how much money do dentists make a year? And I guess the best answer is, it depends. It depends on a lot of things. Depends on how long you've been practicing, where do you practice, are you a specialist? All these things sort of go in to it. What sort of, what sort of dental work do you do? Do you do high end cosmetics? Do you do low end, just patching up? So, a lot of it depends on really, what you do. I usually find that a young dentist coming out of dental school will usually go in to some sort of associateship with another dentist, and their associateship, they make any where from ninety to a hundred thousand dollars for the first year, which is not bad. You find some other dentists that have been doing it for a long time, they're in productive fields and different, doing high end cosmetic dentistry, they can make, you know, three, three hundred thousand, four hundred thousand dollars a year, which is not bad. I'd say probably the average dentist makes in between a hundred seventy five to two hundred and twenty five thousand dollars a year.
