"Hi this is Jennica from Pet Planet in Riverton, Utah. We're going to be talking about how to tame a chinchilla. A good way to tame a chinchilla is hold them as much time as possible. You want to hold them, when you pick them up you want to hold them close to your body so that when they you pick them up they feel secure. If they start squirming you're going to pet them, hold their, cover their eyes, it helps them feel a little bit more secure. Other ways you can tame chinchillas are actually give them treats out of your hand, it helps them get a little bit familiar with you. You can also take them into a bathroom, a small enclosed area, just make sure all water access are closed off. It helps them let them run around and kind of get a little bit more exercise and they also learn that you're there and who you are and get a little bit more familiar with you and it helps them get a little bit more tame.
