"Hi this is Jennica from Pet Planet in Riverton, Utah. We are going to be talking about how chinchillas bathe themselves. You actually don't want to give them a water bath because it will actually make them lose their hair and they'll be bald. The things you do want to give them is actually a dust bath. You would just get a bowl or something like this, throw a little bit of dust in there, they don't need too much an they actually roll around in it and it softens their fur and actually cleans their fur off. They do like to clean themselves kind of like a cat or a dog would so they do need the Timothy Hay. It actually helps them digest and get that hair out of their system actually too.
