"How the heck can I become a club promoter? Well let me fill you in on a few key tips on getting into the industry. Hi, my name is Jena Hartman owner of PromoZone Live here in Tampa, Florida. As a promoter myself, I want to give you a few key tips to get your foot into the industry and meet some new people. First and foremost you have to make sure you are a people person because you are always going to be interacting with people and getting people into the nightclubs and bar scene. Secondly, most events are going to happen in the evening so you have to be a night owl. Get out there, meet people, network and keep the party going. As a club promoter you are going to be promoting to local consumers and local individuals to get the club popping and get things going. You want to make sure you network and meet other club promoters and being experienced, you can either assist them, volunteer, do internships or even paid positions. It's not required to be to have a degree as a club promoter, but it doesn't hurt to have a associates or bachelor's degree within a career field on your resume.
