"Hi, I'm Rebecca Guenther with m5a1photography.com and I'm going to tell you some of your requirements to be an underwater photographer. First of all, you're of course you're going to need a housing for your camera to make it waterproof. You don't want your camera exposed to water. It will destroy it. It will be a nightmare. So, spend a lot of money on it. Make sure you got a really good housing and make sure that it's good up to the depth that you're going to go. You might not be going that deep. You don't need as heavy duty as one say if you're going way far under the water. You're also going to need a scuba certification if you're going to be going under the water to any depth. You need to be comfortable with being down there. You need to be able to get around easily and quickly and don't forget you're going to be carrying this camera you know it changes the game a little bit. You're also going to want to understand how light works differently underwater. It's not light doesn't travel the same as it does above the water. Often times, you're going to want to try and be a little bit lower than your subject because just how the lighting reflex through the water. It's generally better that way. Other than that be comfortable with sea life, be looking for beautiful and interesting things and that's really all the requirements that there are to be an underwater photographer."
