"Hi this is Vince Preston with Metro Mobile RV Repair and we are going to talk to you today about routing your RV or your motor home trip so that you can get there safely and get home. Travel trailers and motor homes are wide, they are big, they're tall. My suggestion would be to the owner that you know exactly how wide and how tall you are including with the extra appliances that are on top of your roof. You have refrigerator vent caps, you have antennas, you have all kinds of stuff up there, air conditioners that are going to raise the height of your motor home and you really want to know how tall you are. Sometimes you will go into a RV park and they haven't cut the trees in a while and the next thing you know you just knocked your air conditioner off by trying to drive under it so you want to plan your route so that you can get there safely and I don't think too many RV's or motor homes have to worry about low bridge clearances and stuff like that but at the same time there are a lot of windy roads up in the mountains and stuff like that that are just not safe for people towing an RV or a motor home and so they are made for the skilled driver and you have just go to be real safe out there. You don't want to get yourself in the position that you can't get out of and have to call a wrecker to come get you. When you are going to route yourself out my suggestion would be Mapquest or a GPS system so that you are able to stay on track and you know exactly where you need to be all the time. That way you won't wander off and get into areas where RV's and certain motor homes can't get turned around and then you get hung up again so just be careful out there and route yourself and you all have a good time."
