"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, life and relationship coach here in New York city, and the author of It's All About You. Being single in college, I think is a great way to go through college. You've got the rest of your life to work up relationships and sure it's fun, it's fun to have a sweetheart. But I think, it's a great opportunity to meet a whole different group of people. It's probably the first time that you're living on your own. You've got school work which is really the most important part of college. I know that college is fun, but really to get a great education, is the whole purpose of college. And you're going to need that later in life. So I think being single in college helps you to focus on your studies more. And it's fun to date and it's fun to you know, but even don't get involved in a big serious, heavy relationship. Because it will keep you from meeting all these other people. If you're always just with that one person, you can miss out on a lot of really great opportunities of the group of people. And all the different activities and different school functions and school events. I think when you're single, you tend to look for more things to do. When you get involved in a relationship, you just focus too much on the relationship. So enjoy being single in college."
