"Hi, this is Athena Reich and I'm an actress, singer-songwriter and performing arts coach here in New York City. In this clip, I'm going to talk about acting jobs for teens. Well, there's lots of acting jobs. There's TV acting jobs. There's theater acting jobs. There's film acting jobs. What's really important is that you've got a good acting coach. You can check for auditions on backstage.com. You can also... getting now... there's a lot of reality TV out there, and getting in that way is a really great way to launch your acting career. If you just go to MTV.com or FoodNetwork.com, you go to any cable or major network, go to their website, they'll have this thing where they say "casting," and you can see if there's any reality TV shows out there that you fit and if you really put a lot of effort and get into one of those that can really help launch your career, but in terms of acting jobs, there was just a show on Broadway called 13 where all the cast members were under 15-years-old. Spring Awakening started out as a really small production with no pay and the actors were only 14-years-old and it grew into a huge Broadway show, so definitely get involved in community theater, student film projects. If you go to the universities, there's signs always with students looking for actors. There's a lot of work out there. Film, TV, theater... you name it. Go for it and never stop. This has been Athena Reich with acting jobs for teens."
