I live in Norway, turning 15 years the 7th July, and doesn't have any experience, but talent, so far. Do I have a chance to become an actress on disney channel?

Hi, this is Athena Reich, and I'm an actress, singer-songwriter, and performing arts coach here in New York City. In this clip, I'm going to talk about the qualifications for becoming an actress. Well, you definitely need experience. How do you get experience? Take acting classes. What else can you do? Involve yourself in community theater. You could assist, you could do the lights, you could audition, act, direct, create your own play. Definitely build your resume. You need to have a resume, and the resume is valid even if it's school plays. If you're at a school, become involved in your musical...your school musical or your school play or create your own drama club to create your own qualifications. Also, you need to be professional and know how to conduct yourself, be professionally, how to be reliable, answer your phone regularly. You need to have professional headshots. You need to have a resume. So you definitely need to show people that you're a professional and that you have experience. Even if the experience is not professional, it will still be considered valid if it's community theater or theater in your school or student films that you did or even making videos with your friends and putting them on YouTube. Those kinds of things actually do count if you keep doing them and you...and that's also how you network, and networking is key to becoming an actress.
