"Hi, this is Athena Reich and I'm an actress, singer-song writer and performing arts coach here in New York City. In this clip, I'm going to talk about how to apply stage make up. The first thing you want to do is apply a foundation to even out your skin. So I have here a little bit of a wet skin foundation daughter. I can put a little bit under the eyes and on blemishes and I definitely rub it in. The most important thing is to find something that's very very close to your skin tone especially a little bit lighter so it brightens it up. The next thing is to apply a foundation. Now, when I'm just going out and about on the town, I use a brush. But, you know like this... But when I'm going to be on the stage, I want it a little thicker, so I really use the sponge. I put this on nice and even all over, especially the eyes and my personal favorite company is Mac Cosmetics. It is more expensive, but you can cry in this make up. You can, you know, you can sweat in it and you're still looking beautiful. This is the stuff. Mac is good. It's what professionals use. If you go on TV, on the set, if you're a model, and the make up artist does your make up, they're going to be, nine times out of ten, using Mac Cosmetics. I use blush. This is very faint, just a little bit. And I like to use a brush for the eye liner instead of a, just instead of a pencil, just to give it a kind of a softer more natural look. And you can go as heavy or as light as you want. Eye shadow... I like to put a nice light color to highlight the eyes and a darker color around the creases. This has been Athena Reich in New York City for how to apply stage make up."
