"Hi I'm Donna Barnes, life and relationship coach here in New York City and the author of It's All About You. In this clip we'll talk about how to find an old friend. Well the best way nowadays is the Internet. If you know their full name, even if it's just their original name like their, if they've gotten married, their maiden name, then Google it. Google it and see what you can find. That's the easiest way. If nothing really comes up on Google because it might not, try Facebook or MySpace and all of those networking sites and search for them specifically on there. And if that fails and you can't come up with anything, then try to think of people who knew them who also might know and then search for them and then maybe if you can contact a friend of their's that might be able to put you in touch with them or even pass on to that person that you'd like to get in touch with them. So if you're not good with the computer and the Internet's not that interesting to you, although you're watching this video so it must be, there's certainly the library keeps records that you can go to. There's the phone book, you can look them up in the phone book. There's plenty of good old fashioned ways. You can go back to where the town that you knew them from if you've moved and you're in a different place or if it was from high school or whatever and search from any organizations that you knew that they were affiliated with. But keep in mind that they may have changed their name so if it's a woman that you're searching for and she might be married now, try to keep your searches open. A lot of those record finding sites out there will be able to tell you. I recently was searching for an old friend of mine who I known had gotten married and I didn't know her new name and I found it, I found a site that had her listed and I'm pretty sure that I found her. So it's definitely best to go to the Internet. Try Facebook, try MySpace, any of those networking sites and you'll probably find your friend. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
