How to Be a Goth

"Hey this is Jet at Vampire Freaks in New York City. In this clip we're going to talk about how to be goth. So a lot about being goth is the fashion, having some cool accessories, here we have Sue wearing some cool arm warmers here with some nice hardware, it's a lot about wearing the cool metal hardware along with the black clothes. Here we have a bondage bracelets which are also part of kind of the bondage fetish part of being goth which is very kind of kinky and cool. And here we have some cyber googles which are kind of part of the cyber goth scene. People wear them kind of like on their forehead like this and it's very popular in the goth clubs and here we have a collar. It's a lot about spiked collars and here's a bondage bracelet with spiked collars, would you like to put it on Sue? Looks marvelous. And being goth is also not just about the clothing and fashion, it's very much about the kind of frame of mind, it's a lot about kind of being an intellectual, not really accepting what the media kind of just gives you. You kind of got to question what everybody's been presenting to you, you question authority, it's about maybe questioning your parents or your teachers, but it's about very much just thinking for yourself and being an individual. A lot of people think it's just about the fashion, it's just about going shopping and buying some black clothes but it's really not about that because the real goth it's really more just a way of thinking and just a way of life for them and it's just about kind of having a common interests and a common way of thinking.
