"Hey this is Jet at Vampire Freaks in New York City. In this clip we're going to talk about how to become goth. Goth is about music, fashion and also about alternative thinking, a frame of mind. Now we'll go over the fashion. It's very much about how you dress, mostly wearing black, very dark colors and here we have a bunch of clothes and accessories here at the store. Here we have some dark nail polish, some eyelashes, we also some people like to dress up their babies so we have Gothic baby clothes. But some dark pants such as these trip pants are great for goth fashion. Also dark shirts such as this is kind of a punk goth shirt right here. Here we have a shirt with skulls which are pretty goth, that's Lip Service right here which is a pretty big brand in the goth scene. And here we have a nice dress over here which is by Mercy Clothing. So being goth is a lot about the music, we'll see Gothic industrial music, here we have a bunch of industrial Gothic CDs, a lot of the labels that are goth are Metropolis Records and Out Of Line and Alpha Matrix and COP International. Being goth is not just about looking dark and it's not about the fashion, it's very much about the frame of mind, about thinking outside the box and kind of rejecting what the mainstream culture has been feeding to you and just being an individual.
