"Let's talk a little bit about rehearsal dinner invitations and specifically how to word them. Rule number one, don't over think this one. Rehearsal dinner's typically a little more of a casual event. It's the dinner following rehearsal usually on the eve of the wedding. It could be an e-mail; it could be an electronic invitation. Whatever you do credit the people throwing the dinner. Traditionally that's probably the grooms parents however now days, the bride and groom who may be throwing this their self. Whoever's throwing it gets top billing. So Mr. and Mrs. so and so would like to invite you or Joe Groom and Stacy Bride would like to invite you, which ever it is to dinner immediately following the rehearsal. Rehearsal time is this time, dinner time is this time. Give the location and give a little map from point A to point B. Hopefully you're going to choose a restaurant that's pretty close to the rehearsal venue. But remember not all your guests may know point A to point B; they may from out of town. So include a little set of directions or a little map letting them know how to get there. And also what the dress code is. That's about all there is to it."
