"How to plan a bachelor or a bachelorette party. You are the maid of honor, or the best man I'm going to guess, because traditionally, that's who gets charged with planning these things. Although nowadays, it could be anybody in the bridal party, and you're at a loss of what to do? It's okay. I've got your help here. First things first. Talk to the person in question, whether it's the bride or the groom, to find out their comfort level, their boundaries. It's okay to push their boundaries a little bit, but it's kind of not okay to push them a lot. I've seen a lot of bachelor/bachelorette parties where the person throwing it had a great time. And the person it was being thrown for was "Just get me outta here now." So make sure that you talk to them, you respect their boundaries. Traditionally, we all know what bachelor and bachelorette bring to mind. It's the night of debauchery, adult entertainment, last chance to let it all hang out. And if that's what you want to do, that's fine. There's a couple of ways to do that. You can go out for dinner, drinks and to a club. Or you can throw this event in your home. A word of caution, both ladies and gentlemen. Adult entertainers that come into your house are a completely different ball game than what you're going to see if you go out to a club or male review. So keep that in mind, and know what you're getting in to. That being said, nowadays a lot of people are considering alternatives to that type of bachelor and bachelorette party. And I think these are a great idea. Guys, you can grab a cabin and go on a guys fishing trip all weekend. Or a casino rat-pack type night, something like that. Ladies, no reason you couldn't do either one of those as well. Or you can have a pajama party where you rent a limo, and you all go out in your jammies to a bunch of different night clubs. By the way, key point. I said "Rent a limo." It doesn't have to be a limo. But if there is drinking involved, and there is very likely to be a lot of drinking involved in this night, get transportation covered, whether it's a limo, whether it's a designated driver. Very important to think about that in advance. Who pays for this event? Kind of depends. If you're going out, dinner, drinks, and all that kind of stuff, it's usually a 'pay as you go' party for the guests. And I recommend breaking that into segments, so that your guests can participate at whatever their comfort or financial level will allow. Maybe they'll just be there for drinks. Maybe they'll just be there for the end, it gives them some options to play with. If you are going to host a party in a house, traditionally this bill is footed for the guests. But you don't have to pay for it all yourself. Maybe some members of the bridal party can come in and pitch in. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I'm going to give a final word of caution here. Remember, ladies and gentlemen, that we live in the digital age, and whatever happens that night, there is likely to be some piece of cyber-evidence. So have a lot of fun, but don't do anything that you wouldn't want to get busted on."
