"So you'd like to know who to include in a wedding shower. That's a fantastic question. A lot of times when people are throwing showers, there's so much work involved, you don't want to step on anybodies toes, invite someone you shouldn't, don't invite someone you were supposed to, what do you do? Don't worry, relax, it's very, very simple, the general rule is for a shower, these are going to be invited wedding guests only. One exception to that rule is a work related shower which is a different topic all together. For a traditional wedding shower you're going to work off that wedding guest list and you need to talk to the bride because you don't want or need to invite every single woman or person on the wedding guest list. You're not throwing the wedding all over again. This is a shower, this is a time for close family, close friends, close relatives and that information is going to come to the bride, so or come from the bride. So talk to her and work with her on who some of those people are. Another important question to ask the bride is does she has friends or family or relatives out-of-state who she would like included in the shower or will she be having a separate shower all together where she's going to them. There are no rules against having multiple showers, more presents equal good presents as far as I'm concerned. So it's okay if she's having multiple showers, but you do need to find out if that is indeed the case or if she would like to invite those people here as well. That's basically it, work off of the bride's list, work off the wedding registry list. Have a wonderful time, relax, it's going to be great!"
