"Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we're going to talk about how to remove fungus from Ficus Benjamina. Now Ficus Benjamina is a beautiful tree and it can be grown outside in warmer climates or indoors as a house plant in colder climates. It has a beautiful foliage and it's just a really, really pretty plant. Sometimes when it's grown inside, it will have fungus problems and the reason for this is it's not getting any air and it's not getting every washed off. So if it's a small enough plant and it's indoors, throw it in the shower. That's the best way to remove any type of fungus. Give your Ficus a shower or throw it out in the patio and just take the hose to it and just wash that fungus off. That's the best way to get rid of it. And you might find that you still have a little bit of fungus and the easiest way to get rid of that is by mixing a little bit of baking soda with some vegetable oil and then putting it in a spray bottle and spray your Ficus down and that will remove any of the remaining fungus. And then that way even if you throw it in the shower after that again, it will be fungus-free and you can enjoy your Ficus whether it's indoors or outdoors for many years to come."
