Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we're going to talk about a flower guide. So when you're growing flowers, there's a simple guide that you can follow. And basically, flowers come as bulbs, roots or seeds and you can grow them pretty much any way. So if you're growing from seed, it's really easy to start them in little seed trays. You just put some soil and seeds and then you get them going that way. Or you can start them by bulb like a Hyacinth flower. You just put the bulb right in the ground and when you're growing flowers make sure to have flowers that bloom in the spring, summer and fall represented in your area or your garden. And Hyacinths, Tulips, Daffodils are great for the spring. Cala Lilies, Lilies, Crocosmias, Agapanthus, Tigridia, Galtonia are great for the summer. And then fall blooming Cyclomen and Colchicum and Amaryllis Belladonas and Eryngium, like Horse are great flowers for the fall. And there's so; there's so many plants that you can grow and so many flowers that you can grow. And so they're all easy. And my favorites in the spring are Hyacinth. They smell really good. Indoors, you can grow all types of orchids and different types of flowers that are really pretty. Carnations are really pretty plant to grow too and, and they're easily to grow on full hot sun. Christmas Cactuses are great for flowers for indoors. They have beautiful blooms. So you want a combination of indoor and outdoor flowers that bloom at different times. Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily are really a great plant to grow. And different types of Lilies are my favorites for the sun in the summertime 'cause they're just beautiful. And whether inside or outside, these Petunias are gorgeous plants and they're very fragrant too. They smell so good and they're really easy to grow whether you plant them outdoors or indoors. So the easy rule of thumb is just to invite all the flowers to your garden, just like you're throwing a party. If they look good; grab them up, put them on your garden; put them in groups. And when they're growing, give them lots of water; let them drown in between and as they die back in the fall or if any of the lot, leaves or the blooms are dying out, just cut them back. So if they're green, leave them be; if they turn brown, cut them out and you'll find that many of your flowers will come back, if they are perennial or you have to replace them if they're an annual, every year. But they're a great addition to your garden.
