"This is Brandon Pearce with Foolish Tattoo Company here in St. Petersburg, Florida and I want to talk to you a little bit about how to take care of a tattoo. Aftercare is one of the most important things when it comes to making sure the tattoo actually looks good after you have had it tattooed. Every tattoo artist will tell you something a little bit different that will be along the same lines but listen to your tattoo artist. I suggest using Aqua Phor A and D ointments. I suggest applying that three times a day in very thin layers so you massage it into the skin so it is not shiny. If you put too much on there you are going to draw the ink out, too little and the tattoo will dry out and actually scab. So make sure you put just the right amount on. After about three days I suggest using lotion, nonscented lotion such as Lubriderm or Kurel are the best ones I prefer but again you can use anything that works for you. Other than that taking care of tattoo is keeping it clean. Clean it three to four times a day with antibacterial soap. Also clean your hands before you clean the tattoo. Other than that taking care of a tattoo is pretty simple, just follow those instructions. Again this is Brandon Pearce at Foolish Pride Tattoo Company in St. Petersburg, Florida. Make sure you listen to your tattoo artist."
