"Hi! I'm Merrilee, and today I'm going to show you how to put together a fruit platter. It's really not very difficult when you're playing with the fruit because no matter what you do with it, there's so many beautiful colors that even if you threw it all together, it will just look like a gorgeous, big fruit salad. One of the things to remember is that you can always use your inedible parts of your fruit for garnish or display, and then add some nice texture to it and color. Today I'm starting with the pineapple top to anchor it here in the back, then I'm going to take a handful of pineapples and put it here along the side, this along the side over here, run against strawberry in there, kind of stuck that up a little bit, again, you're just wanting to pay attention to color, so that you get plenty of color all over your fruit tray. Back this up a little bit. We have some blood oranges here that are absolutely gorgeous, since they are a little variegated, so we're just going to put those around the outside here, a little bit. You might want to consider using a fruit tray that has a little bit of a lip on it because your fruit is very juicy and you don't want the juice to drip off, and on to your table cloth or wherever you're playing. Planning on placing your fruit platter. Just put the rest of the pineapples there. We'll put these beautiful grapes here in the center, red and green, you can always have very interesting fruits, cantaloupe and honey dew when they're in season are beautiful on a fruit tray, obviously, dashes of or circles of kiwi here and there add some nice color, and then always your strawberries are beautiful, accent against colors like yellow with your red here and there, and you can just place them wherever, kind of random, and then ever if you have some blueberries, again, nice for color, just sprinkling over the top, and there you have a fruit tray."
