"Hi my name is Merrilee and today I am going to show you how to make a recipe for healthy banana cookies. Very simple we have just a very few ingredients. First of all we have three ripe bananas that I have mashed. We are going to put those in the bowl and we are going to add to that two cups of oats, one cup of pitted and chopped dates. Those add sweetness as well as the bananas, one third a cup of oil and one teaspoon of vanilla. Then the trick is we are going to mix them all together and we are going to let that sit for about 15 minutes so that the bananas and the oil has the opportunity to soften up the oats. So we are just going to mix this all up real quick and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile we are preheating the oven at 350 degrees and when we come back to our mixture it will have a little more body to it and will hold its shape when we are forming the cookies and putting them on the cookie sheet. So there we go it is all mixed now. We are going to let it sit for about 15 minutes and then we'll come back and we'll put them on the cookie sheet. Now we are putting the cookies on the cookie sheet after having let the dough sit for about 15 minutes so that the oatmeal could absorb all the moisture in the banana and the oil. We are dropping them by teaspoonfuls and then we are going to put them in the oven which has been preheated to 350 degrees and then they'll bake for 20 minutes and when they are finished this is what they'll look like. All nice and toasty on the top and warm right out of the oven, ready to enjoy with a glass of milk or with a cup of hot coffee so eat and that's how you make healthy banana cookies."
