"Hi, I'm Merrilee and today I'm going to show you how to make kettle corn. First thing we're going to do is get our kettle ready on the stove where I've put in three tablespoons of grape seed oil and I'm going to add the quarter of a cup of popcorn. We're going to wait 'til it gets 'til we hear one or two kernels pop. At that point in time, we're going to very quickly put in about a quarter of a cup of sugar and then it's going to start to pop quickly. You don't want it to burn so we're going to have to keep it moving. We have the temperature on a medium to high heat. You need to find a kettle too. One of these works well or one of the kind that you've seen that has the crank around the top, it's the best way to make it. Don't try and make it in a typical pot where you just shake it 'cause the sugar won't distribute evenly. It'll probably burn on the bottom. We've added the sugar. Once you have the sugar, it cools the oil just a little bit so you'll have to wait for the oil to heat back up just a tad. And that is how you make kettle corn."
