"What we're talking about now is how to catch a rabbit. So what we're really interested in in rabbits is how to pick them up or restrain them. Rabbits have a unique issue in them and that is a very powerful rear legs and so if they are not restrain properly, they can kick very violently and end up fracturing their own spine. And when they do that, that's obviously makes them paralyzed and is a very bad thing. And so, rabbits tend to be kind of scared. They have a fire flight response that is, is very potent and so if they're frighten, they will tend to kick and lash out to try to get away. And so, the best way to handle or restrain a rabbit or pick up a rabbit is going to be supporting the rear legs. You never want to grab a rabbit from those sides and just pick them up and or hold them away from you so they can kick out. You always want to grab and support those rear legs and hold them to you and as you hold them to you, you're able to keep those legs from kicking very violently. Also if you'll see I'm holding the front legs in my, in my hand as well and so this, this whole rabbit is basically being kind of supported. Now you don't want to restrain them really harder or anything because they'll freak out with that too. But again, just remember to hold them to you or use a towel around them; but always pull them right toward you and support those rear legs."
