"Hi I'm Teri Lynne and this segment is about tweezers. Now what are tweezers? Well the most commonly known tweezers are these tong like, mini tong like apparatus. Now these tongs or similar objects have been around as far back as 3,000 BC, that's right, even back then they were worried about plucking and looking their best. So what are tweezers for? Well most commonly used for plucking unwanted hair, usually facial hair but other places as well. Also you can use it for removing splinters or slivers that you might get. Now a little trick when you're tweezing if you find it painful which of course most of us do, you might want to freeze that area of skin with an ice cube for just, hold it on there for about a minute and then tweeze the unwanted hair away or dab a little witch hazel on the area and that should numb the skin area for a long enough time to get the unwanted hair out. Now there have been many innovations to the original tweezer contraption through the years, a lot of electronic devices but you know what tried and true the old fashioned ones still seem to do the best job. So that's proof that it's possible for old fashioned innovation to survive the onslaught of technology. That's probably more than you needed to know about tweezers but there you have it."
