"Hybrid vehicles, have sort of changed the market place and and put a different wrinkle in the buying decision. They are more expensive upfront but then they also will save you money over time and also apart from that they are better for the environment, so that has a non-monetary value attached to it. People typically looking to buy Hybrids, if you do a lot of highway driving if you have a long commute say where you going to be running sixty-five seventy miles an hour, they hybrid typically is not going to save you that much money on gas. They are they are generally made for in-town metro driving, to get the full assistance of the Hybrid now you do get assistance from the battery on the the fuel efficient small gasoline engine, but if you are looking to, if you have that long commute over the highway and think that the Hybrid is going to save you tremendous amount of money over a regular gasoline engine that might be a little bit of a misconception. You are better off to save the money and buy a fuel efficient gasoline engine because over time I am not sure it is going to be able to to wash out again depending on your trading habits, and that type of thing. But there is the factor of of it being more eco-friendly and that is a that is a big hot button for a lot of people these days and as well it should be. So that is that is a non-monetary factor. But as so far as the money goes study your driving habits if you drive in-town in a metropolitan area then a Hybrid might very well be for you. If you drive a lot of over the road trips you might be better off buying a fuel efficient regular gasoline engine. The Escape Hybrid gets about thirty-five miles per gallon in the city. We have got future Hybrid vehicles coming that are supposed to get better than that, and as time progresses I think that Hybrid technology will get even better and perhaps if you are asking me this question two years from now my answer might be different, as far as how they perform, but as it currently stands the Hybrid typically works better in-town as opposed to over the road. And that it does not work well over the road and does not assist you in gas mileage but the amount of money that you pay upfront extra to get the Hybrid might be might not be offset by the savings that you would experience in your gas mileage. I, I do not think it is a status symbol in so much as, trying to make the right decision for you and your lifestyle. If you live in a, a metropolitan area you can save money and if if you want to if you are concerned with the the environment and and want to take that responsibility on in purchasing a Hybrid vehicle also the tax credit that you get along with purchasing a Hybrid vehicle is is another factor that that people weigh in their decision. It is it is all about you and and what you value and the life style and driving style that you have."
